LibriVox Audio Books provides free access to over 10,000 audio books. Each audiobook can be streamed over the internet or downloaded for later use. Unlike services like Audible.com, all LibriVox audio books can be freely listened to and shared.
Audio books from LibriVox are in the public domain and are free thanks to the dedicated work of hundreds of volunteers who record, edit and distribute the books. New releases are prepared daily, and the entire catalog spans the breadth of world literature, including novels, history, biography, short stories, poetry and more in both fiction and non-fiction.
USE THE LIBRIVOX AUDIO BOOKS APP TO ACCESS AUDIO BOOKS
The LibriVox Audio Books application was developed by BookDesign for Android and iOS users.
The LibriVox Audio Books app makes it easy to search the LibriVox catalog of free audio books. You can browse by title, author or genre, look at new books, or search for specific key words. Because the books are free, you can listen to as much or as little of a book as you like with no cost. The app remembers your position, so when you return to a book later, you can start listening at the place where you left off.
In addition, the LibriVox Audio Books app for Android now also allows US users to purchase audio books that are not in the public domain and remain under copyright.
